Welcome

Welcome to weightlossnuggets.com. We offer nuggets of information about weightloss to help you decide the most effective way for you to loose weight, maintain desired weight, or just become a healthier person.

I didn’t have a weight problem untill I recently turned 50 and my lifestyle of eating as much of anything as I wanted caught up with me. So I went on the web to see what diet programs were avalible and when I started looking found many sites that promoted one diet program or another making it difficult to compare and decide.

We started this website to bring as many weight loss programs and books together to make comparing and deciding which is best for you easier. We will continue to update our list of diet programs and weightloss products, So check back to see what new information or weightloss programs we have added.

We have also included a selection of vitamins and other dietary supplements to help you acheive and maintain a healthy body.

Before you start any new diet program, whether for weight loss or for health improvement, you need to ask yourself:

·      What is my motivation? Example, if you start losing weight to improve your love life or you think it will help with other areas of your life, you will most likely fail. While a weight loss program can be a positive factor, weight loss in itself, doesn’t guarantee change in other areas.

·      Why have I failed at other diets? Maybe it wasn’t totally your fault. You might have tried one of many fad diets that have been proven ineffective. Examine your diet history, you may find a trend. For example, extremely low calorie diets or you may not be able to follow strictly organized diet plans.

·       Am I built like other members of my family? Look at your family. You can’t change your genetically-given shape any more than you can change the color of your eyes.

·       Do I have “special health considerations?”

1.     Are you at risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, or diabetes?

2.     Do you have food allergies?

3.      Do you have high cholesterol, high blood sugar, or other medical conditions that might make certain diets harmful to you?

4.     Are your medications compatible with the program you’re considering?

If you do have a medical condition, ask your doctor to help you choose a program.

With the key to weight loss being to burn more calories than you consume, we gathered togather a group of books, diet plans, and exercise equipment to help you reach and maintain your desired weight.
